SCHOONER FARE RELEASES NEW ALBUM Brothers Chuck and Steve Romanoff begin their 30th year as Schooner Fare with the release of their fourteenth album, And Both Shall Row. This is their first duet album, a voyage made all the more challenging after the loss of Tom Rowe, their friend and musical partner of 29 years. Because it was agreed that replacing the irreplaceable was impossible, Schooner Fare will look and sound a little familiar and a little different, reflecting the natural changes of becoming a duo once again (Chuck and Steve have performed together since they were old enough to sing). Some of the new CDâ€™s twelve cuts have been standard Schooner Fare for decades, but never before recorded. Some are brand new original songs, while others pre-date Schooner Fareâ€™s birth in 1975 by a couple of years. Other songs go back a century or more with roots in the Maine woods, Atlantic Canada, Ireland and Scotland. What has not changed over the decades is Schooner Fareâ€™s affection for folk music, storytelling with a skewed Maine humor, harmony, and performing. Schooner Fare continues to perform throughout the U.S. and Canada, receiving world-wide radio play and having their original songs recorded by dozens of other artists including Tommy Makem, Liam Clancy, The Fureys, and Glenn Yarbrough. Thanks to the encouragement and support of so many friends and fans, both known and unknown, Schooner Fare will continue its musical journey aboard â€œa boat that can carry two.â€
