Dunkers in the NBA have been beloved and revered not only because of the efficiency they have in dropping those high percentage shots through the basket, but also because of the showmanship they provide the fans. While basketball may be a sport, it is also a business that markets itself through its athletes. No athlete attracts more attention than a high flier willing to power dunks through the basket on a nightly basis, whether it is in a wide open lane to the basket or on top of some of the best rim defenders in the league.
Throughout the history of the NBA, dunkers have become some of the most popular players in the league.
