SunGrow Self-Dissolving Driftwood Strings, 20” Long Rope, Tie Java Fern, Moss, Anubias Plants, Blends with Cholla, Driftwood, 20-pcs
Driftwood Ropes For Aquascaping --- Unlike other options like rubber bands, plastic string or wire, Driftwood Strings are unprocessed and raw. These water plant tie lines will not affect your aquatic pets and plants and have no effect on your aquarium water.
Blends To Match The Real Color Of Driftwood --- Each driftwood when submerged in water releases elements which in turn creates a light brownish yellow coloring. Although the Driftwood String starts out as a basic string, once it spends some time attached to the driftwood, the string will begin to take on the color of its background and appear to melt away into its environment.
Simple Way To Add Color To Your Tank --- If your aquarium is looking boring or bland and you want to incorporate some color but are not sure how, the practical Driftwood Strings may be your perfect solution. Simply wrap the string around a rock or driftwood already in your tank, attach some java fern, water sprite or Christmas moss and drop it back in. The beautiful green plants will add color and life to your fish tank.
Accentuate & Secures Lightweight Plants --- There are many benefits to growing moss, fern, anubias and other aquatic plants in your aquarium. These plants offer shelter, security and serve as a great egg-laying spot for breeding fish. The problem is that many of these plants are lightweight and will float around the tank if not properly secured. The Driftwood Strings easily secure these plants to driftwood, stones and even small caves.
Convenient Package Of 20 Long Strings --- One package contains 20 individual pieces of dried tropical grass strings and each string is approximately 20” (50cm) in length, long enough to securely tie aquatic plants such as ferns and anubias to driftwood, rocks and caves. If you need additional length, two pieces of driftwood string can be tied together for an even longer piece. If the string is too long, it can easily be trimmed down to an appropriate size.
How do the Driftwood Strings work? Some aquatic plants such as moss, fern and anubias need to be tied down to driftwood or stones in order to root and grow in your fish tank. Easy to use, you simply wrap Driftwood Strings around rocks or driftwood and tie them to lightweight plants securely holding them in place until roots have grown. If you do not tie them down, some plants will float around until they find something to attach to such as tubing, decorations or other inconvenient places.
Are my fish at any risk having this string in the aquarium? Absolutely not. Because the Driftwood String is made with dried grass, they will have no impact on your aquarium water. The string remains secured in place and eventually becomes a part of its environment. So, your fish, shrimp or other aquatic pets are safe in their home.
Will this string be an eyesore in my tank? The convenient Driftwood String begins as a white aquatic plant line when first tied, but in just a short span of time, the string will begin to absorb and take on the color of the natural tannins released by the driftwood. Within weeks, the string will match its background and blend flawlessly into the environment.
