Insight Guides Flexi Map Barbados (Insight Flexi Maps)
NEW UPDATED EDITION FOR 2019
New edition features a quick guide to the Top 5 beaches and attractions
This insider’s guide reveals the island’s best-kept secrets, so you can feel like a “regularâ€, even on your first trip, and find activities for the whole family!
Did you know that Bajans were among the first to produce rum? Or that the grapefruit was bred in one of the island's gullies? Russell Streeter does. He also knows where the most tranquil beaches are, where the turtles swim and nest, and where you can savour the best fried fish.
In this information age, it can be challenging sifting through all of the data and finding what’s really useful. So instead of trawling through the Internet, this insightful book will help you to navigate the best that Barbados has to offer.
A great resource for anyone traveling to Barbados. I purchased it in preparation for my 4th trip there and found it to contain lots of great nuggets of information. Great to have the inside track from someone who lived there!

Like most people I was expecting "more" initially. It's a very small paperback, and arguably not "worth" the price. But actually I think it IS worth the price as it's written with no advertorial bias and simply provides a rational and ordered list of things to do including reviews of the main sights/tourist attractions and the many different beaches. As a first timer to Barbados I found it very useful for helping plan what to do during our stay. One thing it's missing is a decent map, but there are plenty of these available on arrival, in bars/restaurants, or as App downloads on your phone. And there's no restaurant review but TripAdvisor covers this just fine. As a first timer to Barbados I found it very useful for helping plan what to do during our stay.

It was really helpful when visiting the island. Info is accurate and personally presented which makes it a pleasant read as well as helping you see the best on Barbados. After all, it is not everyday you get the chance, so you want to make the best of your visit.

This colourful book features:
Plus over 30 full-colour pictures, a short guide to local cuisine and a list of major annual cultural and sporting events
All this for less than the cost of a good meal!
This book doesn't include every beach, rum shop or building that the Queen or George Washington ever stayed in. There are no details of hotels or restaurants - because Trip Advisor is the best place for such information.
The new edition takes on board much of the feedback (good and bad) that readers have provided over the past 4 years, whilst keeping the goal of being your personal guide to the best that Barbados has to offer.
There's more to Barbados that the beaches. With this book you can feel like a regular even on your first trip!
