- Robert Sorby 1/16 Fluted Parting Tool Micro Miniature Turning Tool
- The unique sizes and proﬁles of these micro tools have been adapted to provide the ﬂexibility and control essential for fine, detail work. These tools are ideal for working on smaller projects and on smaller lathes.
- Blade made from high speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. It will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist "blued" softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning.
- Tool comes with hard White Ash handle and brass ferrule.
- Overall length is 10 inches, blade length is 3-3/4 inches
A very fine Parting Tool sized for the delicacy and control required for smaller projects and fine detail work. It has a flute running along the bottom edge that creates 2 sharp spurs at the cutting face.The spurs sever wood fibers to produce a burnished finish. The part is nearly seamless in appearance, which is especially helpful where matching of grain is desired.Fluted Parting Tool has a 8 1/2" handle length and is 13 1/2" overall length. High Speed Steel (HSS) blade. Made in England!
