12 Assassin Snails (Clea Helena 1/2"-1") Great for removing unwanted snails!

Assassin snails are a great way to eliminate and control pesky snails that have overrun your tank at home. You could even consider them an investment if you have a planted tank because they will help control snails that will otherwise eat your plants. Assassin snails are a beautiful and effective addition to your freshwater aquariums. Growing up to 2" long, they will hunt and eat any snails smaller than them.

We recommend your tank have a sandy, or loose gravel substrate as the Assassins will burrow down when not actively feeding. Once the pest population is controlled or eliminated, the Assassins will feed on leftover fish food or pellets like any other snails. They can safely be added to shrimp and fish (non-aggressive or non-snail feeding fish) tanks. Care should be taken when adding them with bigger snails like Mystery Snails. Normally they will not bother snails bigger than themselves, but we cannot guarantee a safe environment for your existing snails.
