Handcrafted shelf with a hidden compartment.. It is made of distressed knotty pine and has been stained walnut. The approximate outside measurements- 16 1/2" side to side, 7 1/4" front to back and 3 1/2" tall. The hidden area is 1 3/4" deep, 131/2" side to side and 5" front to back. In between the blocks that hold the shelf base in place measures 11 1/2". It includes a carpet liner to rest your valuables on. It is easy to access, simply lift the shelf bottom off for quick access. Excellent place to stash a hand gun, cash, jewelry, etc. There are 2 pre-drilled holes for mounting. Mounting hardware to install on either a solid wood surface or drywall included. On drywall installs you will use a wood screw in one hole into a wall stud and a heavy duty drywall anchor in the other hole. Rated at 20lbs inside and out to be on the safe side. Comes unfinished (no stain) or choose from 4 different stain color options (gunstock, jacobean, red mahogany, and walnut). The shelf pictured is stained walnut. A key lock can be added for an additional charge for added security. The gun, sunflower and jar pictured are for display purposes only and are not included with the shelf.
