*Duty Cycle - Like most solenoid valves the coil will become hot to the touch when left on continuously. The temperature will stabilize without failure. Leaving the valve powered on for long periods of time will reduce the life of the coil. Whenever possible the valve should be installed in a well ventilated are to increase the life of the coil.
