Often times the reason a mechanical clock movement stops is because the oil between the plate and the gear pivots has dried up or become clogged with dust. If that is the reason that your clock is stopped a drop of this oil on each pivot will get your clock running again. These oilers have an extra long needle to reach any part of a clock movement even grandfather clock movements, dont bother with oilers that have short needles, you will not be able to reach those hard to reach places. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
