2 Truck Upfitters 12" Gas Props (12.2" ext, 7.5" comp, 40 lbs ea) for are Snugtop Leer Camper Doors & ONLY Aluminum Weatherguard ONLY Toolboxes. Measurement REQ'D! Incl 4 Ball mounts!
- CHECK LENGTHS AND PRESSURE BEFORE ORDERING. THESE DO NOT FIT ALL CANOPY and COVERS! THE MEASUREMENTS ARE FROM CENTER OF BALL MOUNT TO CENTER OF BALL MOUNT, NOT FROM END TO END OF STRUT! SEE PICTURE! Use a measuring tape to measure the door gas strut that you are replacing. Measure from the CENTER of the gas prop head (little plastic end), to the other side. DO NOT measure from the end of the gas prop, your measurement will be too long. Note that most applications allow for 1-5% size variation.
- Truck Upfitters Pair (2 total) of 40 pound (each) gas struts. 12.2" extended length and 7.5" compressed length. This size of door shock absorber is for tall medium weight rear or side camper shell doors. Each canopy shock has 40 lbs of pressure, for a total of 80 lbs of pressure. Please note that this does not mean that it can lift something that is 80 lbs. the typical hinged-style door weight for this prop is approximately 50-70 lbs, including the weight of the camper shell locks and keys.
- These gas lift cylinders do not fit all camper shell brands / models. Measure your strut from center of socket to center of socket when fully opened & fully closed to get accurate measurement. Please see pictures to determine how to measure. Do NOT measure from end to end. Measurement must be from the center of plastic ball mount on each end of the gas spring lift. Measurement is important to ensure they open properly and get a good camper shell seal against the camper shell gasket when closed.
- Equivalent to Suspa #C16-11028, Stabilus #19068, or Weatherguard 7009-2PK . Comes with four 10mm ball mounts for alternate 'other than truck camper shell' applications, such as in camper / canopy windoors, RV doors & awnings, boat hatch spring lifts, gas struts for cabinets, storage bed lifts, other toolbox struts, etc. These gas shock lift supports CAN'T be compressed by hand. They MUST be installed in the EXTENDED / OPEN position. It is nearly impossible to install them in the CLOSED position.
- NOT FOR STEEL TOOLBOXES- WILL NOT HOLD UP LID. Fit most Weatherguard ALUMINUM truck bed toolboxes ONLY, models 121-0-01, 121-5-01, 123-0-01, 123-5-01, 127-0-01, 127-5-01, 131-0-01, 131-5-01, 137-0-01, 137-5-01, 147-0-01, 147-5-01, 154-0-01, 154-5-01. Compatible with many truck canopy types, including LEER, ARE, Century, Snugtop, and ATC tops, & many other brands that utilize gas shocks / gas springs / gas lifts. Compatible with many gas lift brands, including stabilus, lift o mat, & Suspa.
Truck Upfitters Premium Gas Struts for Camper Shell Side Doors/Windoors. Fits ARE, Snuptop, Leer, ATC, and Century brands, along with many others. Also fit Weatherguard Toolboxes! These do not fit every toolbox or camper shell brand and model door. Please measure your struts before replacing with these. These are 40 lb struts, so they are for medium weight aluminum-framed or solid glass rear / side doors and Aluminum toolbox lids.
