21 Lovely Lullabies: A Small Collection of Gentle Songs to Sing Your Child to Sleep
As a new father I was excited for the new experiences, adventures and challenges that lay ahead. Right from Day One my son began to cry. So, of course, I began to sing him a lullaby. So I sang:
"Hush little baby, don't say a word, Daddy's gonna buy a mockingbird. And if that mocking bird don't fit..."
Huh? Fit? How do birds not "fit"? So I moved onto Baa Baa Black Sheep. And got to three bags but didn't know who they were for. I realized I didn't know the words to any of the lullabies I'd been raised with.
After he drifted off to sleep I picked up my Kindle and searched the store for a simple solution to my lyrical roadblock. But it was not to be found. I would have to make it myself. And so here it is: a small collection of 21 lullabies to sing your children to sleep, arranged in alphabetical order.
