Traditionally, coves were formed in intersection of the pool's bottom and wall using sand or dirt and then covered with the pool liner. The advantage of a pool cove is that it extends the life of an above ground pool liner, prevents the growth of algae and makes cleaning much easier. The disadvantage of using sand or dirt to form the cove is that both will settle and disperse over time. LinerShield Pool Cove is a 48 bendable strip of durable ethafoam that is secured in sections to the floor of the pool wall. LinerShield's Pool Cove has convenient notches in the strips that snap into your pool wall's track, assuring a secure fit.
