The 3B Scientific B40 human dual-sex torso model has male and female organs for anatomical study, and dissembles into 31 parts for effective demonstration: six-part head, chest and abdominal wall with muscles, seventh thoracic vertebra, female mammary gland, gluteus maximus and deltoid muscle, two lungs, two-part heart and stomach, liver with gall bladder, four-part intestinal tract, front half of kidney, three-part female genital insert with fetus, and four-part male genital insert. The model depicts the superficial and deep muscles, with removable deltoid and gluteus maximus for close-up examination, and provides views of the vertebrae, spinal cord and nerves, vertebral arteries, and the brain’s internal structures for additional detail. The model is hand painted for realistic appearance, and is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. PVC resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. Anatomical models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.
