The Speedglas 100V lens also features five user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 through shade 12, and a light shade of 3. The auto-darkening filter quickly darkens after striking an arc to maintain optimal viewing. The viewing area provides a field of view that allows the welder to see the work in progress with minimal obstruction.
