Tech Tips:
1. Print quality issues are the Maintenance Kit or Drum. Kits may have too much oil (causes blurred print) or too litle oil (causes a sticky dirty drum). First step to resolve streaks, smears, voids, or smudges is try a new kit
2. Run "Eliminate Light Stripes" and "Remove Print Smears" in your Troubleshooting menu more often
3. MUST print 50 pages per week on ANY phaser to avoid clogging printhead. Ink "cooks" when not in use, and will cake your printhead. TURN IT OFF if you are never using it.
4. When you start a cold phaser, it wastes a LOT of ink, empty the tray
5. Ok to install with other brands of ink
6. Number on block goes DOWN and notch points forward
7. NO CHEAP Copy Paper, phasers require 24+ lb high quality laser paper
8. Clear messages by pushing blocks forward, or turn printer off and on after 2 seconds
9. Substitute Jets for a few weeks, then reset and re-run tests
10. Color shades, wrinkles, or divets in blocks are quite normal and expected.
