Excerpt:
â€œI donâ€™t even know youâ€¦and this morningâ€¦â€ I questioned.
â€œI was a jerk. Â I know. Â Iâ€™m sorry. Â Doesnâ€™t mean I want you to bleed to death,â€ he tried to joke.

Taylor:
This Elliot was different than the one who took off like a bat out of hell, the one who wouldnâ€™t even give me the opportunity to explain. Â This man in front of me was gentle, kind, and compassionate, and also knew what he was doing. Â He didnâ€™t look at me with a scowl on his face, or assume that I didnâ€™t think he was capable to help me. I found myself getting lost in the contrast between the two sides of him but also the way his tight blue shirt stretched across his broad shoulders. Â The stubble that covered his chin, the laugh lines that creased the corners of his eyes while he concentrated and the light woodsy scent that was coming from him was definitely enough to keep me occupied.
His hands were rough but gentle in a way that suggested they werenâ€™t always that strong and as he worked around the glass, he moved swiftly. There was a faint scar under the stubble on his chin and another barely visible under his left ear. Â He kept the sides and back of his hair tightly cropped and the top a little longer, enough for product. Â It was easy to get lost in his features as I sat there watching him.

Elliot:
It was a completely different person looking back at me compared to this morning. Â Her eyes were warmer and the anger had disappeared from her features making her appear softer. Â Brian was never going to believe this when I told him that the girl I ranted about for over half an hour was the same girl I was now trying to keep from passing out. Â Talk about coincidence.

Two lives, full of complexities that neither are ready for but are longing to experience. Question is, can they find the understanding to make it workâ€¦
The definition of complicate reads: composed of elaborately interconnected parts; complex: difficult to analyze, understand and explain.
