In the presence of Beauty that blesses the soul,
How could I die?
How can I not go insane, and
Hold firmly to your hair like a chain?

When I drink Your wine,
How can I not be broken?
You are the wine, and I am the water,
You are the honey, and I am the milk.

Indeed, His love, Who Gives Light to the heart,
Make the lovers sleepless all night,
Without any sleep,
Nor food.

My friend, if you are a lover,
Be like a candle:
That melts all night,
Burns in joy until dawn.

The man who freezes in the Summer,
Is not truly a lover -
In the midst of Summer,
The heart of a lover will burn the Autumn.

My friend, if you have love,
That you want to express,
Then scream like a lover!
Scream! Scream!

What did you drink last night?
Tell me, oh sweet sugary Beloved,
Then I will drink the same -
Day and night, throughout the years, all of my life.
