These were delicate, lovely things, any girl would love to wear, but I couldn't make her understand; I was not a girl! At best, I was becoming some kind of weird â€œsubstituteâ€ daughter.
â€œWell, dear? Feel pretty?â€ Mother was most interested in watching my reaction.
She was right, the brassiere was so cute, so dainty, so delicate in every wayâ€¦who could hate it. Matching in every way, my bra was made for mothers who wanted their precious little darling daughters to look and feel like they were growing up!
So the bra was made to look exactly like mothers, except the cups were mostly flat with just a little soft padding.
I felt the silky nylon rubbing across my chest...exactly what my mother was feeling. The ever present pulling of the bra straps across my shoulders, and the tight unalterable hug of the brassiere itself surrounding my chest.
â€œI'll never get used to this!â€ I stated.
â€œWe'll see,â€ she smiled. â€œWearing a brassiere, you will be always reminded that you are different from a boy.â€
â€œI certainly feel different.â€
â€œYou know, Tory,â€ mother said, â€œOnce a girl starts wearing a bra, she has to wear one for the rest of her life.â€
