When the owner of the basket store, Mary, falls ill, her son John Ellison comes to help oversee the store. Beth enjoys spending time with John, and wonders if he’s the one for her. Then handsome Anath Hopkins comes into the shop one day and seems completely taken with Beth. They also have a good conversation, and Beth is encouraged, but now conflicted about which man could be the one for her.
Beth finds that she thoroughly enjoys basket weaving. She arrives for work one day to discover that Mary has died, and the basket shop has to be sold in order to pay off debts and for the funeral. She has now lost the job she loves, and due to a series of circumstances, it appears she has lost both men as prospective husbands. She feels that this is all due to how she treated Sarah and struggles to trust God.
Will she ever find love again? And will she ever be able to find work that gives her as much pleasure as basket making did? And most importantly, will she be able to finally resolve her inner struggle with feeling that God has not forgiven her?
