ARRG Inc. has these caps specially manufactured for our company. Other sellers under this listing may not send you a genuine solid copper post cap. Decks and fences are an expensive investment for home and business owners. Post caps protect the ends of your exposed posts from the ravages of sun and rain which can cause premature rotting. Protect your investment with these beautiful 100% solid copper high point pyramid post caps. Installation is simple requiring only exterior grade silicone adhesive. Use a generous amount around the inside lip of the cap and press down onto your post. Nails or screws may be used, but holes are not pre-drilled. These caps measure approximately 3.75"x3.75" square and 1.75" tall from bottom to top. The lip is just over 3/8"deep. Copper thickness is approximately .5 mm and the weight of each cap is approximately 1.8 ounces. These fit nominal 4"x4" posts which measure 3.5"x3.5". (They will not fit a true 4"x4" - Please measure before purchasing if you are in doubt.) Copper will patina (turn green) over time. This process may be slowed by applying a high quality car wax every six months or a high quality polyurethane. Color differences seen in the photos are due to photos being taken in different lighting conditions and is realistic to what you can expect.
