Charcoal gives the soap an extra boost to the lather's natural cleansing power, helping to absorb and draw out oils and impurities from the skin. Activated bamboo charcoal has a microscopic, porous structure that also gives the bar soap a gentle texture which helps lift soils and impurities with only a hint of exfoliating.
