These fast growing varieties are specially chosen and produce lots of great tasting and colorful peppers in your AeroGarden, any time of year!Â The Chili Pepper Seed Kit features three different pepper varieties with three levels of heat; mildly spicy Jalapeno Peppers, medium Red Fire Chilies, and tiny but fiery Purple Super Hots. Jalapenos rate between 2,500 - 8,000 SHU, Red Thai Peppers between 40,000 - 50,000 SHU, and Purple Super Hots between 140,000 - 160,000 SHU. SHU is the Scoville Heat Unit which is a measurement of capsaicin (the stuff that makes peppers hot!)
