The Aiphone IE-1AD Chime Tone single-door intercom system master handset works with a door intercom (sold separately) to enable semi-private communication with visitors prior to authorizing access to the building with the door release button. A call from the door intercom activates a four-tone chime on the master handset. Picking up the handset at any time opens the line of communication with the door intercom, and the door-release button works with an electric strike (sold separately) to remotely unlock the entrance for the visitor. The chime and audio volume is adjustable.
