When the sizzling sounds of Brazil entered the mainstream of American jazz and rock in the 1960s, Airto Moreira, the world's foremost percussionist, became the leader of this innovative musical movement. Airto is joined by his wife, Flora Purim, whose six-octave vocal range creates one of the most innovative voices in modern jazz. These two renowned artists have collaborated with such legends as Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Gil Evans, Chick Corea and Paul Simon.
Recorded live from the Queen Mary Jazz Festival, experience the rhythmic sights and sounds of Latin Jazz.
