Alien is about a vicious and predatory species that is encountered by humans on distant planet when they look for the cause of a distress signal. When it came out in 1979 it set a new standard for sci-fi and brought the genre to a new level. With the surrealist artist H.R Geiger behind the design of the Alien and many aspects of the Alien environment, it was unlike anything ever seen at that time.
