“All about the Angels†is a charming book for children of all ages (including adults). Various true-to-life stories are shared in a brief narrative form, showing how Angels helped many people in the past and continue to do so today. This book reminds us that the Angels are immensely kind, looking upon human beings as “younger siblings†(so to speak) who need their help. They are faithful and generous friends to us, and they would do even more than they do, if only we would remember to ask them for their guidance and protection.
The Angels are bestowed with superior intelligence and great power. They love us and are grateful for the love we have for them. Always willing to assist us, the angels defend us against the wiles of the devil, in the spiritual and temporal order, protect us against accidents, and comfort us.
Each of us has a Guardian Angel, assigned to us by God when we are born. Fr. O’Sullivan compares the deep love of our angels to that of good mothers. He also shares short stories about St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael. He also tells us about the interactions of Angels with St. Agnes, St. Frances of Rome, St. Isidore the Farmer, St. Dominic, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Vincent Ferrer, St. Rose of Lima, St. John Bosco and the mysterious dog (believed to be an angel in disguise), and the three Fatima children.
“All about the Angels†reminds us that there are angels amongst us---every day---who are our truest friends and greatest protectors!
