Alpha Industries MA-1 Slim Fit Bomber Flight Jacket - Fighter Pilot Flight Jacket
AUTHENTIC DESIGN - The MA-1 fighter pilot flight jacket was the first military bomber jacket to cross over into civilian fashion. Today’s current version still hews close to its roots, with classic military specifications and designs from the original outerwear for U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots. The same dedication to quality when Alpha Industries started in 1959 is here in the MA-1 jacket today.
INDIVIDUAL STYLE - Signature “Remove Before Flight” red hang tag on the sleeve utility pencil pocket and the Alpha Industries logo on the zig-zag zipper extension let you show off your style. Knit rib cuffs, collar, and waistband, two lower flap pockets, two interior welt pockets, and shirred sleeves round out the look.
FORM & FUNCTION - Reversible flight jacket with water-resistant nylon on both sides and double zipper pulls. Staying true to its original design, the MA-1 interior reverses to an Emergency Orange lining that was originally designed for downed pilots to signal for help.
FIT & RECOMMENDED USE - MA-1 flight jacket has a Slim fit in the body and sleeves and sits just above the hip at waist length. Perfect as a layering piece in mild or moderate weather. This jacket is also unisex: true-to-size for men’s core fit, recommended to go two sizes down for women’s fit.
MATERIALS & CARE INSTRUCTIONS - 100% Flight nylon shell, 100% nylon lining, and 100% polyester fill. Dry clean only.
We've updated our classic ma-1 jacket with a slimmer fit throughout the body and sleeves. Like its counterpart, the ma-1 slim fit has a flight nylon, water-resistant shell with nylon lining and 100 percent polyester fill. The black variation has brass zippers while the other colors have tonal metal zippers. The white variation reverses to a white interior while the rest of the colors have the traditional emergency orange lining. Inspired by the original jackets worn by U.S Air Force and Navy pilots in the 1950’s, the modern cut provides a slim fit.
