Alyria Resurfacing Body Care is a special, non-irritating AHA body lotion formulated to develop a smoother and softer skin. The product formula contains 15% glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxyl acid used to accelerate the skin's natural shedding process to smooth dry, sun-damaged or aging skin. The featured glycolic acid is encompassed in a patented controlled technology, Amphoteric System that maximizes efficacy of exfoliation and minimizes irritation by gradually releasing glycolic acid. The potential irritation of an AHA formula is primarily due to the rapid penetration of AHA free acid molecules into the skin. By controlling the release of the glycolic acid, the skin will tolerate a higher concentration, resulting in a faster exfoliation. It polishes away dead epidermal cells, smoothing dry and rough areas of the body. Regular use of this fast-absorbing lotion will help to soften elbows and knees, minimize calluses on feet, keratosis pilaris on arms, and prevent ingrown hairs, revealing silky-smooth, moisturized skin.
