Missionaries are taunted with it, investigators and recent converts are bombarded with it, and lifelong Mormons are puzzled by it--the unsubstantiated charge that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints somehow are not Christians. Most Mormons don't understand the basis of the charge, and many are ill-prepared to deal with it. The purpose of this book isn't to equip Mormons to argue what is and what is not a Christian with those ill-willed people making such a scurrilous charge. Its purpose is to instruct Mormons, deepen their conviction that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer of the world, and assist them to follow the Master more closely. Day by day, O Dear Lord, three things I pray: To see Thee more clearly, love Thee more dearly, follow Thee more nearly, day by day.
