The Geologic Highway Map of Arizona is published jointly by the Arizona Geological Society and the Arizona Geological Surrey, both located in Tucson. The Arizona Geological Society promotes and encourages interest in the geological sciences and the geology of Arizona. This is done through monthly meetings and geological publications. The Arizona Geological Survey, an agency of the State of Arizona, provides unbiased information to the public to enhance understanding of geological processes, materials, and resources and support prudent management and use of Arizona's land, water, mineral, and energy resources
