Peacemaker is an environmentally friendly noise control solution made from recycled tire rubber material. Peacemaker offers excellent sound control. With an STC Rating of 19, using Peacemaker in a structure can improve the STC rating of the structure by 4-5 points. Peacemaker is a durable and renewable "Green" building material containing more than 80% post-consumer recycled material. Most new rubber products will emit various organic compounds which have a characteristic smell like that of a newly painted room. When properly installed in your wall, floor, or ceiling, these odors will be undetected. If left exposed, in an area with little ventilation, Peacemaker will emit a harmless low-level odor which will lessen over time and poses no health risks. Please note, individuals with increased sensitivity to smell may find this odor unpleasant.

Peacemaker is designed to be installed between two rigid layers, such as drywall. In flooring applications, Peacemaker should be installed between two subfloors to ensure the best performance.
