The deeply-felt recognition that the Absolute is all that is, and consequently that must include you, is the life-changing substance of enlightenment. All things are That, you as well as all other human beings: there is only That, in the sense of ultimate, permanent reality.

How, then, does one live oneâ€™s life when the present awareness is â€œI am That, and all else is Thatâ€; when the perception of being a â€œseparate individualâ€ has dissolved, and the ego (Latin for â€œIâ€) is no longer at the center of oneâ€™s perspective?

â€œReal-i-zationâ€ (the â€œenlightenmentâ€ the aspirant has sought) means â€œto make realâ€. How do we make the realâ€”the essence of timeless realityâ€”the central expression of the Absolute perspective we have now discovered to be inevitably our own? To â€œmake realâ€ in oneâ€™s life and activities the awareness that â€œall that is, is Thatâ€ is unavoidably a life-altering engagement. Are you prepared to â€œliveâ€ with this discovery today?

So, the real question, the final question, is not â€œHow am I to come to self-realization,â€ but â€œIs enlightenment what I really want?â€
