Released on King's 80th birthday, Original Greatest Hits, over the course of two discs, compiles King's hits from 1952-1962, when he was recording with RPM and Kent Records well before his well known tenure with MCA. While King's early material has seen multiple releases abroad, until now the US has not had the opportunity to experience his first forays into the field in one collected package. Original Greatest Hits showcases classics like, 'Every Day I Have the Blues,' 'You Upset Me, Baby,' 'Sweet Little Angel,' and 'Please Love Me', proving that King's greatest and most influential work was not limited to his forty years at MCA he always was, and will be, the King of the Blues.
