BURNERS: Creativity for My Body

"Burners Creativity" contains selections from five years of portraits made at the Burning Man festival. These images celebrate burners who adorn their bodies with costumes and/or tattoos from the simple to the extravagent. All portraits were made at Center Camp. It also contains commentary from other burners on notions of creativity. Future books in the series will have themes of Community, Discovery, Play, Adventure, Spirituality, and Sensuality and Sexuality.

This series is dedicated to my late wife, Ilene Kouzel, who died from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) prior to my first burn. In that "virgin" year, I found solace, release and joy at the Temple of Hope and was determined to create something to assist the continuation of that burner tradition.

The profits from this series will be contributed toward subsequent temples.
