Bach Coffee Company is a shining contemporary example of the gourmet specialty coffee industry of Vietnam. These three options are differentiated by bean species - choose 100% Arabica (Bourbon), 100% Robusta, or Arabica/Robusta 50/50 blend.
We have had difficulty importing whole bean coffees from our larger Vietnamese name brands so we looked to find an exemplary new company that could provide specialty grade coffee from the Annam Highlands (Central Plateau) region, one of the world's top growing regions. This region contains many micro-climates and unique basaltic/volcanic soil for taste profiles that can't be duplicated anywhere else.
The roast level is Full City (between Medium and Dark). This Robusta is up to 10 times lower in acid than many USA branded coffees, and especially appeals to the mid-and-back-palate where coffee taste is more fully perceived and creates a more lasting taste impression. Unlike traditional "butter-roast" Vietnamese-style beans, these are air-roasted and will not clog grinders in auto-grind-and-brew machines.
