After walking aimlessly around the streets of Sukhumvit all evening, John needed a beer, but most of all he needed his loneliness eased. He stopped walking and looked around, knowing he was close to Soi 4, and the bars were filling up. As he looked up, he saw the Nana Plaza in the distance, lit up and beckoning him like an adult fantasyland. A bolt of electricity traveled down his spine and into his groin. Between the chaotic crowds and the seductive neon lights, he was like a moth drawn toward a flame.
