Barbie Dolls of The World Morocco Doll
A modern update on the classic Spanish dancer’s gown. |
Also includes Dolls of the World “passport†with country stickers. |
A Return to the Dramatic Flamenco
The first Spain Barbie Doll in a flamenco-themed gown debuted in 1983. Thirty years later, some elements are familiar, like the form-fitting dress and the lace ruffles, which flutter open and closed with the rapid twisting moves of the traditional Spanish dance. Other elements are more modern, but still maintain strong ties to the authenticity of the culture - especially with the doll’s earrings and peineta comb worn to hold her hair in place during the energetic dance.
A New Look for Dolls of the World
Spain Barbie Doll is also part of a classic travelogue-inspired update to the beloved series, thanks to Barbie Collector Designer Linda Kyaw. While adding a sense of breezy fun and fashion flair to the line, even the Dolls of the World packaging got a makeover. The dolls now come in travel-trunk-inspired doll boxes, with a space for keeping small travel keepsakes with the doll.
