Pianist Francois-Frederic Guy is widely regarded as a specialist in the German romantics and above all Beethoven, whom he describes as ''the Alpha and Omega of music.'' In 2008, Guy embarked on a major Beethoven project that included recording and performing in concert all thirty-two of Beethoven's piano sonatas, as well as the five piano concertos. Joined here by cellist Xavier Phillips, he presents the complete music for cello and piano.
