The kit includes: an 11" unfinished wood drop spindle w/ leader string attached, 1 oz each of 2 beautiful colors of roving (2 oz total) perfect for spinning, and an easy to follow instruction sheet! The directions also include links to youtube videos for the 'park and draft' method of drop spindling, how to navajo ply on a drop spindle, and how to finish your yarn! I include these links because I am a visual learner! Learning to drop spindle before moving on to using a spinning wheel is a must! I am an impatient person and did not want to learn how to use a spindle before I hopped right on a spinning wheel, but it is an invaluable first step to learn how to draft, and learn how the yarn twists. It was much more fun, easier, and quicker than I had imagined.
