Removing the food ball from the scoop's bowl is as easy as squeezing the handle, no need to mess with spoons or fingers. The heavy-duty spring action causes the blade to slide from rim to rim, sweeping the entire inside of the bowl so that nothing gets left behind. The blade sits flush with the bowl, preventing food from getting stuck in between the layers.
