Because of the large number of tourists, most of the city’s economy comes from a large number of hotels, resorts, and other attractions that are continuously developed, which range from entertainment, retail sales, and places to eat. While many people shy away from large tourist towns, there are plenty of things to enjoy as a potential permanent resident of Myrtle Beach. When it comes to the rates of utilities and other living expenses, Myrtle Beach has prided itself as one of the most cost-effective places to live in the United States – but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot to do in the area.
