Blind Prophet, Episode 2: Spiritual Warfare
FOR ALL THE SUPERHEROES WHO NEVER WERE GIVEN A CHANCE...
Have you ever thought...
• about why people do the evil that they do? Or the good?
• that maybe the serpent in the Garden of Eden may not have been just a character in a story meant to frighten people into behaving well?
• that the spiritual battle within the soul may actually involve spiritual entities in an unseen, moral dimension, rather than just the psychology in the individual's mind?
In Blind Prophet, Episode 2: Spiritual Warfare, such a moral dimension becomes more and more visible to our unlikely hero, Daniel Prophet, born both blind and autistic, as he learns more about his mysterious new power to peer into the spiritual realm.
The visions of spiritual warfare become more vivid and terrifying, as the boy and his mother leave the hospital behind and journey toward home. Passing a church on the way, they encounter a new friend who begins to explain what the visions might mean.
Welcome, once again, to Blind Prophet!
Special Note From The Author...
Hello! My name is Joseph Cillo, Jr., the creator and writer of Blind Prophet. In this second installment of our story, we gain more knowledge of how the spiritual dimension operates, and how to interpret the visions that are so critical to the story. I have been careful to create the first three episodes so that the reader can easily begin with any of the first three and have enough knowledge to understand how the universe operates and what is going on.
The arc of the Blind Prophet story is very large, as is the arc of the Blind Prophet character. So, Episode 1 is mostly a story about the drama of a child being born blind and autistic.Episode 2 is a story more about this child gaining vision into the spiritual realm, and beginning to understand those visions. And, in Episode 3, our hero becomes more fully the "Blind Prophet," and begins a quest that will place him in a situation that will allow him to use his rather subtle power to save the world in a high-stakes comic book plot!
Well, my fellow writers suggested that I start with Episode 2, or even, Episode 3, and go back and tell the beginning after catching the reader's attention with the more exciting comic book drama, but I decided that the building of the story to a crescendo in Episode 4 when the demons' larger plot becomes visible was just too good to deny those more patient readers who like that kind of thing.
So we will continue to build, but readers who like to start with more action can easily begin with Episode 2 or Episode 3, and then go back for the earlier episodes. So, feel free to jump right in with Episode 2!
What are people saying about Blind Prophet?
"The premise is unique, a sort of hero you never hear about...In all honestly this book really shook me up. The story would be a great movie and with all the monsters and demons in movies nothing is more scarier than real life and this book is scary because is could happen." --neo-examiner.com
"It most certainly does not pull any punches...It is quite a bit different from anything I have read before. The first teen I showed it to said, 'This is awesome.'" --Richard Lee Bruce
"This is a comic book that deserves more attention and I recommend it for anyone interested in the supernatural aspect. It dives into religion but even being agnostic it doesn’t bother me. It makes you wonder if there are two sides making you choose between good and evil." --Escaping Reality, itsanescape.com
