BJC Mini SDI Cable made with Belden 1855A (25 foot, BNC to Straight DIN 1.0/2.3, Black)
25 foot Black 3G/6G HD SDI Cable, DIN 1.0/2.3 to Male BNC, Blue Jeans Cable brand, assembled in USA
This cable is designed for use wherever you need to go from a conventional BNC SDI connection to a cameras, patch panel or other device that uses DIN 1.0/2.3 connectors. The cable stock used is Belden 1855A, the miniature-59 member of Belden's "Brilliance" broadcast coaxial cable line. 1855A is sweep-tested to 4.5 GHz, providing ample bandwidth for any SDI signal from standard-def to 6G. The male BNC, from Canare, is a durable three-piece crimp design with excellent strength and impedance characteristics.
The Canare DIN plug
Our DIN plug is the Canare three-piece crimp DCP model; we've handled a lot of DINs and like these better than any other on the market because of the way they fasten and release; the outer shell rides smoothly back on ball bearings when pulled, like a tiny Triax connector, and springs forward when engaged -- the result is a very definite engagement with the jack, but a very easy pull-off when you need it. Blue Jeans Cable: Professional Precision Cable Assembly
Our cables are assembled in our Seattle workshop by American workers, using the highest quality precision stripping and crimping equipment. Coax is stripped with precise dimensional control in our Swiss-made Schleuniger coaxial cable strippers, resulting in a shield braid undamaged by stripping and a center conductor of consistent maximum length for full engagement in the BNC pin crimp or connector body. Our crimping is done on Schleuniger 3-ton pneumatic presses--not on hand tools that can loosen and result in a weak crimp. The result is a cable which is not only superb in its electrical performance, but is physically robust and stable and will endure frequent handling and flexing.
