God forbid you have to cover your camera's screen with a sponge! Use this with most poles and it will float. Use this with Chesty or Headstrap with no problems. WE'VE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING! The Floaty Backdoor's design has drawbacks. It's awful for the Hero6 and Hero 5 Black, Hero 4 Sliver, Hero+ LCD, and LCD bacpac's. Most importantly, It doesn't float with most accessories! It also doesn't work well with Chesty and Head straps.
Floating poles and grips are great, but they have a singular use-case. Meaning, you can't use them when mounting your camera. So you still need a floaty when mounting to a surf or wake boards, kayaks, your body, etc. Also, Poles and grips can also be dangerious in extreme activities.
