Featuring a couple of duets, some Bardot-sung, Gainsbourg-penned numbers, and a number of Serge-only tunes, this is not, technically, acompletely collaborative record. It is, however, one of Gainsbourg's finest releases featuring a wide range of styles from moody, funky French-pop ('Bonnie And Clyde'), to barroom piano jazz ('Bubble Gum'),to Afro-Caribbean rhythms ('Pauvre Lola' and 'Baudelaire'), to the swinging 60s pop he was most known for at the time ('Docteur Jeckyllet Monsieur Hyde'). A classic from these two French heroes, originally released in 1968, is reissued here on 180 gram vinyl with a high quality tip-on jacket.
