Released during the bossa nova craze that took place in the United States in the early 1960s (when many renowned jazz performers also recorded their own blend of bossa and jazz), this was Brubeck's contribution to the genre although it mostly consisted of the pianist's own compositions. As a bonus, we have added three songs that complete the album's sessions, and four isolated tracks from the same period that constitute complete sessions in and of themselves.
