After an Electromagnetic Pulse wipes out power, America is left dark and floundering.

Thomas Monroe, an average man, faces the daunting task of navigating a dystopian land now filled with confusion and fear.

Somehow he has to get home, stock up, and then reach his daughter Anna, who is away at college half way across the state of Missouri. Thom has no military training and few survival skills to speak of. What he does have is a will to live, a sharp mind, a laminated map and a tire iron. Uncertain how far the devastation spreads, he sets out on familiar roads now filled with unfamiliar dangers.

Mankind is slowly awakening to a new world, one where the emergency services are halted, power is out, water pressure is low and fires rage. Can one man, alone and untrained, survive when madness falls?
