The Koala, like the kangaroo, is a marsupial. After birth, a baby Koala immediately crawls into the Mother's pouch. The Koala baby is only 2 inches tall at birth and is naked and blind. It is able to grow safely in the Mother's pouch. After 22 weeks, the baby opens its eyes and looks out of the pouch for the first time. If it has gotten too big, the mother carries it on her back. If there is danger, the baby crawls back into the pouch. As for the food, the Koala is quite particular. It doesn't eat any greens except for eucalyptus. But watch out! of the 300 different eucalyptus species, it eats only 20. Since it is very picky with its food, you'll only find the Koala in the eucalyptus forests of Australia.
