The New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route is a multi-day off-highway adventure that sends dual-sport motorcycle riders and 4x4 travelers through the most dramatic and rugged landscapes in New Mexico. The route begins along the northern Texas border and ends at the New Mexico-Colorado border. The route utilizes a variety of unpaved roads, rocks, mud, sand and water crossings to make it fun and challenging. It is intended for intermediate to advanced riders and can be ridden on most street legal dual-sport machines.
