C.P.E. Bach: Cello Concertos
There were few important cello concertos written before the 19th century. These three works by C.P.E. Bach are among the notable exceptions. Their unpredictable and fantastical qualities, which are so fundamental to the music of this composer, are given free rein by cellist Nicolas Altstaedt. He is supported by Jonathan Cohen and Arcangelo in performances of astonishing brio.
